Scotiabank is paying up to $1,000 to new chequing customers who open a Preferred or Ultimate Package between July 3 and October 29, 2026. The total is three separate bonuses, and you need the first to earn the other two.

How to earn it
$700: the chequing account
- Open a new Preferred Package or Ultimate Package by October 29, 2026.
- Within 60 days, set up an eligible recurring direct deposit, such as payroll or pension, and keep it going monthly for six months in total.
- Within the same 60 days, do one of these: set up a recurring pre-authorized payment of $50 or more, make an online bill payment of $50 or more, or make one eligible Visa Debit purchase online or in-store outside Canada.
$200: a Money Master Savings Account
- Open a new Money Master Savings Account within 60 days of opening the chequing account.
- Enrol it in the Pay Yourself First or Savings Finder tool in the mobile app and stay enrolled for 90 days.
$100: a credit card
- Get approved for an eligible Scotiabank credit card within 60 days of opening the chequing account.
- Make at least one qualifying purchase within 60 days of opening the card.
Who qualifies
- You are not eligible for the $700 if you hold, or held in the last two years, a Scotiabank chequing account.
- You are not eligible for the $200 if you held a Money Master account in the six months before the offer period.
- You are not eligible for the $100 if you were a primary cardholder on a Scotiabank personal credit card in the past two years.
- One of each bonus per client, for a maximum of $1,000.
Worth knowing
The $700 needs a recurring direct deposit for six months, so this is best if you were already planning to move your paycheque. Scotiabank pays the $700 about nine months after you open the account and the other two about ten months after.
