How to earn it
$300: the chequing account
Within 120 days of opening, do all three:
- Sign up for online banking.
- Complete 20 eligible transactions, such as debit purchases and bill payments.
- Receive three automatic deposits of at least $100 each: one in the first 60 days, one between days 60 and 89, and one between days 90 and 120.
You must also keep the package for at least 120 days.
Three add-ons of $100 each
- Credit card: get approved for an eligible National Bank Mastercard within 120 days and make 20 purchases or cash advances.
- Mortgage: set up automatic payments from the new account to a National Bank mortgage.
- High interest savings: open an account within 15 days, deposit at least $5,000 and keep at least $5,000 in it until day 120.
Who qualifies
- This is for your first chequing account. You cannot already have certain National Bank accounts, or have held a National Bank High Interest Savings Account in the past 36 months.
- For the credit card bonus, you cannot have held a National Bank personal credit card in the past 36 months.
Worth knowing
You must keep the new account, and the new card if you took one, for at least 12 months or you may have to repay part of the cashback. On the Connected plan the monthly fee is $15.95 for ages 25 to 59 and $10.95 for 60 and over, and it is $0 with a $4,500 balance. National Bank can change or withdraw the offer without notice.
