Amazon’s fall sale is back. Prime Big Deal Days runs October 6 to 7, 2026 in Canada, and a batch of early deals is already live. Here is what you need to know, the Amazon.ca deals we have checked so far, and a few simple ways to avoid paying a ‘sale’ price that isn’t really a sale.
When is Prime Big Deal Days 2026 in Canada?
- Dates: Tuesday October 6 and Wednesday October 7, 2026.
- Start time: 12:01 a.m. Pacific on October 6, which is 3:01 a.m. in Toronto.
- Length: 48 hours. Last year Canada got a four-day version, but this year it’s back to two days, the same as the US.
- Who can shop: Prime members only. A free trial counts, and students or anyone aged 19 to 24 can get a six-month Prime for Young Adults trial, then pay $4.99 a month.
Amazon says the sale covers 35 categories, with big names like Ninja, Dyson, Shark, Keurig, Breville and Stanley, plus Canadian brands such as Jamieson, Organika, Webber Naturals, Nabob and Pelican. You can browse the official event page at amazon.ca/primebigdealdays.

Free trials worth grabbing before the sale

Set a calendar reminder to cancel before the trial ends if you don’t plan to keep paying.
How to tell if a Prime Big Deal Days price is a real deal
- Check the price history. Some items go up in the weeks before a sale so the discount looks bigger. A price tracker like Keepa or camelcamelcamel shows what the item actually sold for over the last few months.
- Ignore the ‘List Price’ on its own. The crossed-out price is often a price almost nobody paid. Compare against the lowest recent price instead.
- Compare with Canadian stores. Best Buy, Walmart, Costco and Canadian Tire usually run their own sales the same week. If you prefer to shop in store, check the store’s price match policy first, since many exclude Amazon event prices.
- Look at who sells it. ‘Ships from and sold by Amazon.ca’ is the safest option for returns. Third-party sellers can have different return rules and slower shipping.
- Watch Lightning Deals. They run for a few hours or until a set number sells out. If you want one, add it to your cart quickly, because the price only holds for about 15 minutes once it’s there.
What to buy, and what to skip
Usually worth it: Amazon’s own devices (Fire TV, Echo, Kindle), which are usually among the deepest discounts during Prime events; household basics you already buy, like detergent and coffee pods, where Subscribe and Save stacks on top; and kitchen appliances from brands like Ninja, Shark and Instant.
Often better elsewhere or later: big TVs and laptops, which usually drop further on Black Friday in late November, and anything you would not have bought without the sale.
